"This disc is going to stoke the black fires of anyone into warped, industrial blackdoom for sure. Nivathe's sound is dense and abstract, spun out across these four lengthy tracks in black clots of alien electronics, mutated black/doom riffs, shrieking vocals spewing out these incredibly verbose lyrics that are obsessed with the occult and death worship, each track a sprawling chaotic tangle of lumbering funeral doom, deformed black metal guitars and glacial industrial.
The guitars on Enveloped usually sound like they are in a weird, atonal tuning, and the riffs and melodies often seem to slip in and out of tune and pitch, creating a weird wobbly, nauseating effect that gets pretty disorienting at times.
The drums move from blasts of chaotic double-bass thunder and mechanized midpaced blastbeats, with odd rhythmic changes and cymbals splattered everywhere, and alot of this has a cold, claustrophobic percussive quality that reminds me of early Godflesh.
Plague's vocals shift between hysterical distorted shrieks that are really pretty terrifying, and deep, gutteral death metal roars that sound like they are being run through a fog of fx processing and distortion.
It's a strange slip into deformed sonic blackness with weird twists and turns, and I've been getting more and more hooked on this album each time I listen to this disc."


Nach diesen Seltenheiten des Genre suche ich unentwegt und alle 2-3 Jahre taucht ein Ungetüm aus dem Nichts auf.
