Genre: Punk Mitglieder: Shane, Rick, Russ, Jason Heimatstadt: Oakland, CA Plattenfirma : 20 Buck Spin Biografie: Alaric began in 2008 when 3 friends with similar interests decided to start a band which would thoroughly investigate the textures, energies and vibrations of dark, guitar-driven electric music influenced by the Post-Punk and Death Rock that they loved so much. These visionaries brought a lot of experience to the table. Drummer Jason had been touring, recording and touring some more with British Punk legends the U.K. Subs from 2001 through 2006. Bassist and songwriter Rick, childhood friend of Jason's and former bassist in the two's first band The Enemies began writing new material and soon approached their singer and lyricist of choice Shane who spent several years touring the world in the infamous Oakland band Dead and Gone to fill the vocal position and fortunately he agreed. A few months and several unsuccessful guitar auditions later they convinced guitarist and fellow Death Rock freak Russ to come and check it out and from the first chords they struck it was clear that the line up was now complete. Russ was the guitarist in the legendary Bay Area Doom band Noothgrush from 1994 through 2001 and was looking for something to get involved with. The next few months were spent writing, rehearsing and developing their sound and direction. In 2009 Alaric began playing out and the response was immediately positive. Word quickly spread and the band was soon overwhelmed with offers to play. They recorded a quick two song demo with ex-Phantom Limbs guitarist Skot B at his Kempton House Studios in Oakland and put up a myspace page while the shows and songwriting continued. Then in early 2010 they returned to Kempton House with Skot B. and together they produced, engineered and mixed these nine songs for their first full-length recording, to be released October 11, 2012.
Secondededed. Aber so richtig will die Alaric noch nicht bei mir zünden. Vielleicht hab ich sie auch immer in der falschen Stimmung gehört. Mal schauen was die Zukunft bringt.
die brauch bei mir auch noch ne Weile bin mir noch nicht sicher was ich davon halten soll, sie hat ihre Momente aber eben auch genug von diesen Momenten wo man denkt gleich wirds belanglos ... mal sehen die ist noch in progress odda so
