Nuclear War Now’s tenth year of destruction continues with one of the most anticipated releases ever to carry the gunmen logo. At last Autopsy will receive the NWN! vinyl treatment with the release of “Awakened By Gore.” This vinyl reissue of Autopsy’s legendary demos will be essential for every worshiper of the Bay Areas kings of scum-drenched Death Metal. These demos capture the vile and despicable nature of the band in its most primitive incarnations. In addition to the demo recordings, this release also contains a bonus LP featuring one side of rare and unreleased rehearsal and live recordings while the other side is etched with artwork. Of course any Autopsy fan is by now also well aware that the band has been resurrected and is now in the process of writing and recording new material. Thus, this reissue of their earliest work also honors the nearly 25 years of mayhem and sickness for which Autopsy is responsible and the ongoing continuation of that carnage.

Eine DER Death Metal Bands überhaupt. Durft ich vor einer Woche live erleben. War zwar nicht so geil, wie ich mir das erhofft hatte, dennoch unter den Top 5, der besten Bands, die ich bisher Live gesehen habe.

AUTOPSY BEGIN RECORDING NEW FULL-LENGTH, “MACABRE ETERNAL” Live performances scheduled for later this year CALIFORNIA – Legendary San Francisco Bay Area gore act, Autopsy, have just stepped back into the mighty Fantasy Studios in Berkley, CA to begin recording its first full-length album since 1995’s, Shitfun, entitled, Macabre Eternal. The forthcoming record will be released 30th May 2011 on Peaceville Records. Autopsy drummer/vocalist, Chris Reifert, states, “We've brewed up the sickest and heaviest material that our rotten souls could possibly spew forth, and we are confident that it's our best stuff yet. The EP was a taste of what's to come, but now it's time for the full assault from beyond the grave.” He continues, “The album will contain no repeated EP tracks, no re-recorded old songs, no triggered trickery, and nothing less than the pure death metal brutality that Autopsy has always delivered." The band confirmed "Always About To Die", "Hand Of Darkness", "Spill My Blood" and "Bludgeoned And Brained" as a few of the titles which will be included in this horrific creation. Autopsy announced its permanent reunion in June 2010, and then released ‘The Tomb Within’ EP, the band’s first collection of newly recorded tracks in over a decade, in October. The EP was recorded at Fantasy Studios with Adam Munoz, and reunited the original trio of Chris Reifert, Danny Coralles, and Eric Cutler, joined on bass by Joe Trevisano (ex-Abscess). yo, wird besorgt! tomb within hab ich trottel leider verpasst! wollte kein pre-order bei peaceville machen und kumpel meinte er bekommt die rein....pustekuchen und jetzt bezahlt man schon mondpreise für das scheißteil!
Ärgere mich grade gewaltig, für kein Magazin mehr zu schreiben. So muss ich wohl noch ein paar Wochen warten. Das Lied von der Neuen auf Youtube geht schonmal schön in Richtung Mental Funeral.

Hier die offizielle Pressemeldung: "California death metal pioneer, Autopsy, is gearing up to enter Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA later this month to record a few new tracks for an upcoming collection entitled, All Tomorrow's Funerals. The monstrous, 21-track release will contain remastered versions of all of Autopsy's EPs - everything from 'Retribution For The Dead' to the now sold out 'The Tomb Within' - as well as the new cuts.
All Tomorrow's Funerals will be presented on CD and vinyl with all original artworks, liner notes from the band and a killer new cover from Matt Cavotta.
"This is something the band has wanted to do for a long time, having all these chunks of material in one cohesive release, with the best sound and packaging possible," commented the band. "Autopsy will make every effort to make sure this death metal assault is top quality and worthy of your attention."
The release date for All Tomorrow's Funerals is tentatively set for March of 2012 on Peaceville Records."
